For when you need some hands-on product or program help
I am a product and program manager who assists companies with strategy, process, and tactical execution around product and program management as a full or part-time employee, or contractor. I prioritize hands-on roles embedded in engineering and cross-functional teams from full-time to a few hours/days per week over multiple weeks/months. I seek hybrid or on-site opportunities in Kitchener-Waterloo but am open to remote work or travel as well. I also consider consulting work, engagements of shorter/longer durations, or independent project-scoped work.
My career started with 15 years as a product manager covering a wide range of PM responsibilities. My last 7 years at Google have allowed me to focus on collaboration, organization, and execution within teams and orgs. My product and program management approach has been honed through these experiences with companies and teams of various sizes, structures, and industries, and with products at different stages of the lifecycle covering various markets, personas, and architectures.
I have a lot of tools in my toolbelt and strive to bring the right amount of process and rigour to the teams I support through initial analysis, gradual introduction, collaborative reflection, and continuous improvement. I work hard to quickly build trustful relationships with teams and to make a meaningful immediate impact as the foundation to continued success. I am a force multiplier for teams, helping your engineers, designers, and other team members work more effectively and collaboratively to deliver.

Since becoming a product manager through the co-op program at the University of Waterloo, I have been a product or program manager for over 20 years across multiple technology companies including Sybase, Desire2Learn, Electronic Arts, and most recently 7 years at Google.
My focus has been on software products supporting emerging technologies such as RFID, mobile, cross-platform developer tools, cloud, and AI -- so I am all about learning new things.
I am based in the Kitchener-Waterloo region of Ontario, Canada and am a champion for volunteerism and community through my volunteer and board work.
